Popular Reasons For Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding In The First Half Of Pregnancy

Abnormal during is common. Studies show that almost 30% of women who are expecting experience bleeding during the early stages of . While vaginal bleeding may be an indication of serious complications, it may also be normal and a result of the normal functioning of your reproductive system. Here are some of the common causes of vaginal bleeding during pregnancy.

Implantation of the embryo is necessary for a successful pregnancy. This type of bleeding, called implantation bleeding, can happen when the embryo implants in the uterus. It’s usually very light and lasts a few hours to a few days. If you’re pregnant, you shouldn’t be alarmed if you experience implantation bleeding.

If you’re experiencing bleeding or spotting during pregnancy, it could be because of an infection in your urinary tract or pelvic cavity. Infections of the reproductive system during pregnancy usually threaten both you and your pregnancy, so if your bleeding is due to a pelvic infection, you must see a doctor right away. These infections can cause problems with your pregnancy and make it harder to carry to term, as well as cause complications during delivery.

It is not uncommon for pregnant women to experience bleeding or spotting after sex. This is usually due to the increased tenderness and sensitivity of the cervix during pregnancy. If you experience any bleeding, it is important to stop having sex and see your doctor. This will help prevent any further irritation or complications. However, if you have sex without any bleeding, it is most likely not harmful to you or your baby.

Molar pregnancies, although rare, can also cause vaginal bleeding or spotting during pregnancy. This type of pregnancy is characterized by the growth of abnormal tissue, rather than an embryo. In addition to vaginal bleeding, molar pregnancies may also be characterized by the absence of fetal heart tones, high levels of certain hormones in the blood, and the presence of grape-like clusters in the uterus. If you are pregnant and notice any vaginal bleeding, it is important to see a doctor right away, as it may be a symptom of a serious complication.
